As president if the Mares del Sur Foundation, I give you the most cordial welcome, and I want to tell you the motives that drive us to create the foundation and share with you our objectives and dreams.
The foundation is created because of the sad deterioration which is victim our sea. Mainly the pollution level and it's over exploitation.
Our goal is to create conscience regarding this problem, for this we will work with our children, we firmly believe that our only hope to achieve a real solution, that some day in the future, will be when today kids will have the power of deciding tomorrow, and they have all ready internalize the importance of taking care of our seas.
The objective is to educate, and help to develop an ecological conscience, and to take any action that would end on preserving our heritage THE SEA.
Mainly we will focus our efforts in this areas:
1.- Education, through exposition and informative material basically focus on children
2.- Projects: We include archeological, scientific and research projects.
3.- the creation of audio visual material, in order to allow everyone to get closer to all the wonders and beauties of our seas.
4.-To create a meeting point, through which be able to drive and direct the initiatives, dreams and desires.
In the short term we will provide the biggest amount of information possible to the community, trough projects publications and our magazine "Mar Adentro".
